Online Marketing and the Power of Blogging

A very productive way to increase your effectiveness with online marketing is by blogging. If you dont know about blogs and the power that they have on generating traffic, then this article will show you how to easily start generating traffic to your website.

Originally short for web log, it can be used for whatever you want. A newsletter, a personal diary or a soapbox for your interests or opinions.

Blogging is not only a great way to drive traffic to your site but is incredibly important in building your credibility and brand.

Blogging will be a great help in developing relationships with people interested in online marketing and what you do.

The amount of traffic driven to your site by blogging depends on the use of keywords and how they relate to the search engines.

Blogging is a great way to keep in touch with your prospects. People like to see new and updated content when they are looking into an opportunity or business.

By providing them with new info youre staying connected to your prospects, and when and if they decide to purchase, theyre more likely to do that through you, especially if they feel a connection to you or feel they relate to you in some manner.

I would also advise you to include links to your about me page (bio page) as a minimum within your blog.

This again helps with building trust and openness as your visitors will see exactly who you are and what you stand for.

Use caution when using Wordpress.com. I have second-hand experience of these accounts being shut down when used as a promotional site for online marketing through my involvement with the Turn-Key Marketing Group.

Hosting your own blog can be a little complicated to the new starter, so I wont discuss that in this article. Start with a free blogging service and then decide whether you want to host your own as your experience in online marketing increases.

My final point on blogging.

To get the maximum benefits out of blogging as a tool for online marketing, be sure to provide quality content that informs and educates. Dont blatantly pitch them a sale; they will run! Give people valuable content and they will want to keep coming back for more.
